Lost Sound After Driver Update

Hi

One of my programs recommended a driver update which i did

now i have no sound, all seems to be working properly EXCEPT not sound.

can someone help??

every time there is an update i seem to gave problems

Hi Acen,
Use Device manager , find sound card and roll back driver..............

Have a look ......... Control Panel-> Sound and see what it thinks you have in the Sound department.

went to sound and it says that no audio device is installed. Any ideas what to do??

i cant roll back and cant seem to reinstall the IDT drivers.

An error in trying to install it.

you are a legend. I did what you said and it came back. cheers.

ive uninstalled the driver boost program that gave me a ridiculous critical message regarding the drivers so hopefully this will not happen again.

I DL all the most popular free utility programs from download.com so did not think it was a problem.
