Could you expand? I know it's easy on IOS but how do get a free VPN on you TV?

Just download a free vpn and install on your android box then switch on and download the BBC Iplayer..

But that is installing a VPN on an Android box, which a few of us have done and not as you said "Always use free on tv".
Sorry to be pedantic but there is a big difference.
I don't believe it is possible to install a VPN on a TV but am willing to be proved wrong.

Your reply is precisely why I didnt post in the first place. Knew someone would have something to say. I have got free VPN on my TV as far as I am concerned, didnt realise it meant something else.

Interesting.Pity the guide didn't say which smart TVs use Android OS.
A quick Google search indicates that Sony and Philips do.
