Hi people with more tech knowledge than me (almost everyone)
A system is on offer for a rental flat
It offers
30Mb/30Mb + TV + tel 25 euros/month
100Mb/100Mb + TV + tel 49 euros
300Mb/300Mb + TV + tel 69 euros
What would be a reasonable amount of internet say, not downloading loads of stuff? How do you know if you are going over the allocated amount?
Thanks in advance for any advice

It is unusual to have caps on normal internet in Spain so you can download as much as you want. Those figures are speeds not limits.
Re: How Much InternetDo You Need?
Thanks Mark. So the cheap one would be OK for normal use?

I would think so unless anyone knows anything different. If you are a light user, it should be fine for streaming.

Thanks Mark.
Re: How Much InternetDo You Need?
I presume 30mbps download and 30mbps upload?
That plus a tel line and TV for 30€ seems a reasonable deal 30mbps is more than enough, I dream of getting even just 10mbps! I pay (high up in the mountains) 35€ a month for a measly 6mbps (that is up to 6, I never actually get 6, more like 4(ish)) and a tel, with 400 minutes of calls to the UK/Europe.
Does the telephone part of the deal include any minutes of calls? If not what is the cost of calls (both the mobiles and landlines) per minute? Is there a connection fee per call? Cost of calls to mobiles (everyone uses mobiles now)?

Hi Martin EB
No land line rental, it says, pay for just your calls
calls to landline UE 1 cent/min + VAT
calls to mobile UE 6 cent/min + VAT
Hope that helps

Hi Martin EB
A quick question re your location. When you say "high up in the mountains" does that mean you have no landline. What system are you using for your internet? Is it Wimax as the 6mb rings a bell for that system. I am interested as I am about to move to a rural area north of Malaga and it looks as if that is the system I will need to use. If it is this system, does it work for IPTV?
Any info much appreciated.

Hi bbobandannie,
Sid's your man for current info on your question.
I have Wimax type connection running at 6Mbps..............played around with Smart TV , smartyDNS and it work well for the times I was testing. Not a regular user of TV so don't know if peak times would affect .........this might depend on your ISP and their infrastructure .

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Winmax works ok for iptv. We get around 6 via that system and its ok to use with a box.

Folks
Thanks for the response. I´m not a tv addict but I guess the other half will need her Corrie. From everything I have heard then the Iberbanda Wimax looks like the best option, at least until 4g coverage gets better.
