Recommended Internet Provider

Postby gerrynag » Wed Aug 16, 2017 4:39 pm

We are living in the Campo near Riogordo and are shortly moving from rented accomodation to a villa we are buying, (in the same area).
At the moment our internet provider is RioSat. So wondering whether to stay with them or change.
Any suggestions or recommendations ? Would have to be wireless link as no fixed line connections here.

If what you have works for you i would stick with it. Wait until they put in a land line and then consider a change.

As I said we are in the Campo and there is no possibilty of putting in a landline. In any case I only want the internet and don't want a phone line.
I just want alternatives to Riosat, as speed is quite slow, (only 2Meg).

Have a look at viewtopic.php?f=35&t=37694#p371883.
Just too lazy to do a lot of retyping.

Hi Gerry,
There is only one wimax provider suggested in your post and they do not cover the Riogordo/Comares are.

I didn't suggest any particular Wimax provider.
My post was intended to show the various ways of getting internet in Spain.
Which, if any, are available where you live is a different matter.
I suggest you ask your new neighbours how they get internet here in Spain.
Cheers

I do know of another provider supplying 4g & 4g+ Unlimited. Speeds around 75-300mb down and 25-120mb up. It's not cheap but I do know it has been installed in the Vinuela area and shared between a couple of properties. I don't want to get banned for advertising or trying to sell anything it is just a suggestion for people in campo areas that might be beneficial.

Moan at them and keep moaning - we eventually got a half-decent service fro RioSat when we lived near Comares but you have to be an annoying gnat that they want to shut up.

Why have you set up your A.com user account such that you can't be contacted?
I'm interested to have details about that service.
I would have liked to PM you but I can't.

I didn't know I had. I think it is from when they banned me and after I complained they reinstated me. I'll go check now.
