Then you need one of these
https://www.amazon.es/AmazonBasics-Cabl ... rt+to+HDMI
Or if you have the mini Display port one of these-

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Is there a cable with a USB end and one that has an HMDI, but then I guess I do not get the sound! Is a Parallel connector any good! I have not yet seen cable though with that on. I had similar on my old computer but did not get the sound.

Hi patricia,
"Esata"...........that got me.........even googled it..........eSATA.........
Next to it should be a Display port.

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
My camera stutters a lot Oh yes it does. Having got down on my hands and knees there was a black peg in it and I have removed it and it appears to be a Display port it has the same symbol as in PDF.
By jove we have got it!
I shall order that cable then. Thank you all for your help.
Next post will be Microphone doesnt work streaming, but works with videos etc. I will do that later. All this technical stuff gives me a head ache. I prefer the time before mobiles and internet were invented and all I needed was an aerial that you moved about the whole time to get a picture.

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
I think that's the one, it's difficult to see in the photos but as it is longer rather than stubby I guess it is the full sized one. It's more likely that as it is a desktop so space is not an issue. The mini version is more likely on a laptop. If it's the wrong one, Amazon will change it without question.
You could always order both and send the wrong one back!

I most certainly will Mark It is on its way now should be here within a few days and thank you Sid. I do not think it is the mini one. I am looking forward to receiving it.

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Well I have the cable now and have plugged it in to the port and the television and although a picture of windows comes up it does not play any videos or TV streaming Any ideas any one. I probably have to do something manually within the computer. However good news is the speakers are now working!

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
If a Windows PC, then hit Start+P (Start key on the keyb might also have a windows symbol on it).
This will bring up a box offering
Computer only......Duplicate......Extend......Projector only
which allows you to drive a second screen from your PC.
For normal, PC-only use, Projector only seems to do the trick (on our Windows 7 machine, anyway).
To get the picture (and sound) on to a TV, connected by an HDMI cable, click on Extend.
Then use the mouse to drag the picture across on to the TV.
When it arrives there, maximise it (use the PC mouse again) to fill the TV screen.
The PC monitor can then be turned off, if you wish, and everything will happen on the 2nd screen (your TV).
When you've finished, turn on the PC monitor again, minimise the picture on the TV (mouse), and drag it back on to the PC monitor.
Use Start+P, and re-select Projector only for the PC to work normally.
____________
Someone will correct this if you're using some other operating system.
Picture and sound quality from a PC to a good TV is excellent. It's also a way of showing your photo collection on a big screen.

If you have Amazon Prime and a fire TV, you can upload photos to their cloud servers and view them easily using the photo app on the FieTV

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Well I have had last had the time to try to sort out the cable. Alas I can only get it if I use duplicate, when I try extend all I get is the Windows screen, same with second screen only. Also of course it does not give me the sound on the tv but from the speakers on the computer.
The cable that just as HMSI is much thicker and both the shound and the picture are excellent. With the Display Port and HMDI cable I cannot get full screen either .
Anymore suggestions except throw the lot in the bin!

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Hi Patricia
Have just re-tried what you describe on ours: PC connected to TV with HDMI cable.
This is what I get here, with live tv on the PC screen and sound coming from PC speakers:
Projector Only
Picture and sound on PC screen only. TV screen blank and silent.
Duplicate
Picture appears immediately on TV screen, and fills it.
Sound moves from PC to TV.
Picture remains on PC screen as well.
Extend
When Extend is hit, TV displays the Desktop background picture only (no icons or anything else), and the live tv sound moves to the TV.
The PC screen continues to show the live tv picture, in its window.
>>> To get the tv picture on to the TV screen, you need to use the mouse to drag the window containing the tv picture across. You'll see it leave the PC screen, and if you continue dragging, it will appear on to the TV. When it's there, maximise the window (usually a maximise icon/button the corner of the window), and it will fill the TV screen.
Hopefully.
Now, that's what mine does in Win7.
To get it back on the PC, just reverse the process:
Minimise...drag back...terminate the app...do Start+P and hit Projector Only
to resume normal PC and TV separate operation.
Give it a whirl.
Maybe someone with Win10 can try it too.

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Hi TorreDelAguila,
Thanks for taking the time to Post......are you using HDMI - HDMI cable.......
Patricia is using a Display Port to HDMI............some of the earlier Display ports don't support all the features.
I'll have a go with Windows 10 but only have HDMI - HDMI cable

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Me again.
If (if) you hit trouble with this, there is, in Windows, a facility for setting up a second display connected to the PC.
It might be useful if the tv picture you slide across to the big TV fails to fill the screen, or is an odd shape.
This is where it is (again, Win7):
> Control Panel > Appearance & Personalisation > Display
- go for Connect to an external display
This will throw up a window Change the Appearance of Your Displays.
In this window, you can detect the make and type of the two screens (PC and TV) and they'll be numbered 1 & 2.
It allows you, for example, to set the screen resolution (shape) of what appears on the big TV (ours recommends using 1290x1024).
Make sure you write down the settings for the two screens 1 & 2 that are displayed here, in case you need to revert to them.
Apply and OK any changes made.
Try things without doing anything here first, though.

Re: USB PORT TO HMDI CABLE
Hi Enrique,
I'm just using an standard full-size HDMI-HDMI lead, from HDMI socket on PC to one on the TV.
