Moving inland

Postby burrotaxi » Tue Jan 16, 2018 1:40 pm

We are in process of moving to Cordoba province and wont have access to satellite dish tv (albeit limited channels). I would like to have access to Spanish and English stations so was considering normal Spanish aerial and then something like a Mag 256 streaming box and internet connection. Is this feasible? I’m not sure about limitations of Mag set up and whether it is dependant on high speed internet. We havent ever had broadband in Spain due to cost but living at least fifty per cent of time here justifies it. Not sure if there are any recommendations for broadband?

Thanks in advance.

Forgot to say only suggested mag box because it seems popular, would prefer something available without subscription.

Thanks

Couple of considerations. First is to make sure you can get some form of Internet. Plenty of threads on here about what might be available if you haven't got copper or fibre into the house. If you are really rural you might ultimately consider http://www.movistar.es/particulares/tel ... plus-radio but it is quite pricey and you would have to check you actually had a good signal.

Some internet offerings are very area specific. For example Jetnet operate in our area but not ten km away. Sadly no signal at our house due to the hilly terrain. Maybe if you post your new location someone from that area could advise what is available. Satellite wouldn't be an option on cost grounds alone.

For a one off instal cost you could go for 907 service. Plenty of threads on here about it including positives and negatives.
