The subtitles on the BBCiPlayer on my LG TV have stopped working. I have looked at the BBC website and I have the latest version of the app but they stopped working a few weeks back. It's a pain as I often watch stuff on there just for the subtitles as I cannot always hear what is being said otherwise
Wondered if I need to uninstall and re install if I can do that without messing it all up!

Re: iPlayer on TV no subtitles
I had a look at that BBC help page already but still no further forward. My TV is the 40UH630V 2016 model so is not one of the ones that isn't supported. It's just the subtitles that have stopped working. Everything else is OK.

Re: iPlayer on TV no subtitles
Can you see the subtitle button at the bottom?
Re: iPlayer on TV no subtitles
Yes Mark it is there as usual and shows that subtitles are on. I have tried on several occasions switching it off and back on again but still they don't appear. I could try uninstalling the app but I am a bit afraid it won't install again .... knowing my luck! On the computer the iPlayer works fine but then it is different to the TV app I have.
Re: iPlayer on TV no subtitles
I uninstalled the app and re-installed it. The subtitles still weren't working but the next day they were back, so I guess I should have turned the TV off and on again. Glad to be able to follow all those mutterings and mumblings again on my favourite dramas!
