Help, Sticky Mouse

I have a desktop Lenovo Ideacentre and suddenly the mouse has started to freeze. I have to turn it off by pulling the plug as there is no pad. I turn it back on, it works for a few minutes then freezes again

How can I sort this.........please_

Have a look in the Event Viewer for any info on why the above is happening.
