Kindle : Spain

I want to buy my missus a kindle.
We live in Spain.
These days we no longer order from "Amazon.uk" because of import costs, delays, etc.
If we get the Kindle from "Amazon.es", will the device be a "Spanish" one?
Also; will it make any difference if she orders her books from "Amazon uk"?
Any tips please.

Hi Jonbar hubby has bought me a couple of paperwhites ,both through Amazon spain and it was just a case of selecting English on language options. Some books are free and some cost a few euros.Recently I decided to enrol on Kindle Unlimited and had to do that on the UK site. No problems, all English language books and as it says unlimited selection all at no extra cost. There is a monthly fee but if your wife is an avid reader it's well worth the money. Think it's about £8 a month. Re the kindle, get her the paperwhite because its so much easier to read outdoors when it's sunny. Have a nice day.

I'm registered on unlimited so I just order books on the kindle. I don't have to go on Amazon uk.

I don't know if this relevant, but I thought I'd put it on anyway ! I am in UK with a Kindle Fire also UK, but my post is to say I use a great site called BookBub.com. You register (free!) & mark your prefences (romance, thriller etc) & every day they send you a list of offers to download from Amazon.
I don't know how that will work for Spain, but I thought I'd just mention it
Forgot to say, the offers are usually £1-2 or free !

.....personally I prefer books.Never really happy with staring at gadgets.( probably an age thing)

I like books too, but you can't carry around 100 books to read
