Smart Switch.

Postby jonbar.1 » Thu Dec 28, 2023 11:38 am

Got a new Galaxy mobile.
I intend to transfer all my stuff via " Smart Switch" ( I have previously found this the easiest method)
I have already set-up the new phone, basics ( "language" etc).
During the setup,I was invited to sign-in to my Google account.I did this; I must have also selected " restore" because all my contacts magically appeared on the phone.
So......when I actually perform the Smart Switch; should I exclude "Contacts" from the list of items to be transferred?
Could anyone give me a "yes" or "No" on this please? :D
Thanks & Cheers JB

don’t exclude. It shouldn’t back up twice.

Thanks Costakid.
That sounds reasonable.
The only problem I have is that my old phone contacts app shows more than one list :
"All Contacts"
"Phone Contacts"
"Sim Contacts"
"Google Contacts"
"M'Soft Exchange Contacts"
"Custom Contacts"
Not a clue where all that lot came from!
I really do not want all that lot, to be honest.
I would be happier with just "Google" & "Sim,"
