Computer keyboard question

Postby jennym » Mon Sep 26, 2005 7:05 pm

This sounds pretty daft but, with regards to buying a new keyboard, I cannot find a supplier in the UK that does one with the 'euro' symbol on it. Are they only available in countries that have the euro as it's currency?
Any help would be appreciated thanks?

I forgot to mention that I got it by hitting 'control, alt and then 4. All the '4' key has above it is a dollar sign and, by the way, when I asked about this in PC world & 'staples' office supplies the other day, they were totally baffled as to why the euro sign was not displayed on the keyboard!

I am surprised that the staff in PC World knew what a Euro was.

Things must have improved recently!

you are so right there Sid, I am sure they are all brain dead in there lol!
When you can finally grab the attention of one of them they seem to have just left nursery school! I have had such bad experience in there. NEVER AGAIN!

They apparently know how to use the words 'extended' and 'warranty' to form a sentence. :D

Hi

I have the opposite problem...bought a Spanish keyboard and can't find the pound sign. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Kelly

Frank, to get a £ sign I have to use Alt 156 (That's keeping Alt pressed down whilst typing 156 on the keypad).
