Scrap car / van !

I've got an Escort van that needs scrapped, not driveable. Any ideas re. who will collect it and how much in Alcala area ?

There is/was a scrap yard on the N432 Granada side of Alcala by the new roundabout to Santa Ana.

what year is the van, and why is it not drivable? where is alcala, and i wonder how much a grua would cost?

Van is '99 1.8 diesel. The bolts that hold the engine mounting to clutch bell housing sheared, engine moved across and drive shaft fell out the CV. Had to remove shaft at side of road and tow home. Bit of damage since it's been parked up, headlights windscreen etc. Alcala is about an hour North of Granada.

wow, thats miles away... hope you get it sorted - go to a scrap yard and ask them, they will be able to tell you or even send a grua for you, but only if the van is registered to you.

In case you don't know, flat-towing (tow rope behind another vehicle) is not permitted in Spain, hence the gruas, which winch the dead car up onto them.
