Breakers yard?

You might have more luck on EBay uk describing year, model etc. carriage though could be an issue. Plenty of breakers sell on there.

Tried some breakers yrds and Ebay without any luck so far.
Had a quote of £400-450 plus carriage both ways plus Vat for welding.
These costs are more than the vehicle is probably worth.

I don't know whether yours is a 2.5 or a 2.8 (not a 2.6 anyway) but these might be able to help, very good service but shipping could be expensive.

Just a quick probably irrelevant point but are you 100% sure it is a cracked head?...............i.e. has the head been lifted and the crack found or is it an obvious external crack which would be fairly unusual.

Only asking this as an elderly relative of ours had the same diagnosed a while back at a local main dealers, I personally took the head off and it was in fact a breached Cyl. head gasket/fire ring on one of the cylinders. Some of these guys do make wild guesses at times :?

Good luck anyway.
Kenny

PS the 2.5/2.8 heads are fairly easy to obtain in the UK for £100, although the part no. is different it may be worth an ask to somebody who knows if they are in fact interchangeable..........problem is Mitsubishi probably won't spill the beans even if they are.
Cheers,
Kenny

Hi Kenny
Defiantly cracked
Cracked in number 2 and 3 "cylinders"
Mine's a 2.6 petrol engine. I now find they are not that common.
It is in fact badged as a Dodge Ram raider for the USA market.

If you find one in uk and you need it bringing over, there is a guy that goes over who is cheaper than traditional shipping methods. He is bringing a front bumper over for me (had the same cost of shipping problems as you!)
PM me if this helps.
