Either malagacar.com or helle hollis.
Both recommended.
You can get cheaper by going to doyouspain.com but beware hidden charges, refuelling charges, late return of deposits, hard sell on extra insurance, beaten up old bangers from some dys companies.
DYS are agents, malagacar and HH aren't.

I always use carjet.es ... they always find the BEST company at the best price at Malaga and it varies the companies each time I use them. This is because if the hire company don't give the customer service they switch to the next and so on ... they know who is offering the best service at the time you book

I can only report my own experience , we were collected promptly at arrivals and taken to their site ,5 minutes away, the car was clean and good to go , there was no pressure to take out extra insurance as we have an annual excess policy. The tank was full as agreed and taken back full, so no fuel fiddles or charges for refuelling.
We are in Spain for 10 weeks and their online booking system would only let us book for 4 weeks, we rebooked once we were here online and found the second 4 weeks with a better car was cheaper still, (now out of holiday season ,no doubt).
When we swapped the car over again all smooth. We have even booked a car with them for our son who is arriving next week.....
Maybe the experience would be different if just turning up on spec , I can't comment further , unless they try any tricks , in which case I will be shouting LOUDLY there and on here !!

Good hunting!

I did some check quotes on Carjet and it appears they use the same companies as DYS,Goldcar,Del Paso etc.
The same hire companies I avoid because of their poor reputation.
You might be lucky and get a good experience with them but I prefer to go where I can deal direct with a recommended company.

UPDATE.
I hired the car through Torremar Car Hire.

http://www.torremarcarhire.com/

They brought the car to the airport. I was on my way within 5 minutes.

Car was almost new and spotlessly clean inside and out.

Returned it to the airport - met their by their representative who helped me unload my cases, then off he went.

I will be using them again.

Cheers.

We've used autosflores for the last 10 years - never let us down. (www.autosflores.com)

They meet you at arrivals and take you to short stay and handover the car. Return the car to short stay and text them the car park slot and lock keys in the boot - simple. Fee includes CDW etc as no return inspection. As a consequence most of the cars have the odd dent or three.

Avoids all of the queues at the airport.

Ahhh - just realised that this was an update and end of thread!

I've often used Royal car hire, Calahonda, a small independent family company, they're on the web, thay will deliver to airport anytime of the day and you can drop it off back to the airport, very honest and straightforward company, I would recommend them anytime.
