Spanish driving licence renewal

Two of the classes, C1 and C1E, are due for renewal soon. Classes B and BE aren't due for renewal until 2017.
Any disadvantages in not renewing my licence other than not having classes C1 and C1E?
Can't image driving vehicles over 3500KG.
Also notice I will lose the btp class. What is the btp class?

BTP: priority vehicles when on emergency service, school transport vehicles when carrying schoolchildren and public passenger transport vehicles, all weighing a maximum of 3,500 kg and with seating for no more than nine people, including the driver. Minimum age: eighteen.

Thanks Sid. As I never driven a vehicle in that classification in the 50+ years I've had a licence can't see the likelihood of me driving that class of vehicle now.
Should the licencing authority have informed me that I need to renew my licence soon if I want to retain those classes?
Just looked and my wife's driving licence and C1, C1E and btp classes expired last month.

I would have thought they would, they did for me, but that was a long time ago. Maybe they don't any more.

Never have notified me. btp is being removed from spanish licences as from Jan.2016

If you renew C1 & C1+e then the others automatically get renewed.
