Permiso de Circulacion

Postby gerryh » Fri Dec 04, 2015 2:21 pm

I recently bought a different car. Just received the Permiso de Circulacion.
Noticed it says Diesel on it when the car is a Gasolina engined car.
I presume this needs correcting, how do I go about getting it corrected?
I don't particularly want to go back to where I bought the car, they arranged the transfer etc. as it involves a 200Kms round trip.
Cheers
Gerry

Gerry,
Speak to Adam at Secure Solutions, Nerja - 952 523 925.
He should know how to get it corrected.....he handles numerous matriculations.

The tester at my local ITV centre pointed out too me it was incorrect.
The main reason for him telling me was that I had been charged the higher fee for a diesel engined test. He went with me back to the office after the test to get a refund of the extra price charged.

I "imported" an old Landcruiser many years ago. It was LHD, originally registered in Germany, re-registered in the UK. When I re-registered it (in Mallorca) it transpired that the particular model, which had a 2.5l petrol 4 pot, had never been sold new in Spain so was not in their book of values. The nearest equivalent was the 3.0l 6 cylinder diesel - so that's what it was registered as.
I also had to have the towbar, which was clearly factory fitted and rusted and welded in place by years of off-road muck, machined off, because there was no "homologation" certificate for the damned thing, but that's another story...

Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Booked an appointment online, quite easy to do, for today with Trafico.
Arrived 10 mins before appointment time. Followed the "Con Cita" arrow. A guard checked I had an appointment then joined the queue for another guard to check the appointment, cross it off on his list, and issue me with a numbered ticket just like in the pre appointment days.
Waited for my number and desk to be displayed.
I don't think the female at that desk was having a good day she did not seem happy of friendly.
Before I had chance to say why I was there she demanded my NIE document and passport.
Much clicking on her keyboard followed.
I then showed her the mistake on my document and was greased with much frowning and off she went to speak to someone else.
When she returned she handed me a form to fill in, I asked to borrow a pen but was told there was one near the entrance.
Found the only pen, on a long piece of wire, that was available for client use.
Returner to her desk with most of the form unfilled as it didn't seem relevant.
Waited till she finished with the client she now had at her desk.
She then proceeded to fill in the rest of it with her red pen.
My more clicking at her keyboard and a new, correct, document was printed out.
So it only took 45 mins from entering the building to leaving the building at it was all free.
I'd been quoted around €100 for a gestor to do it for me.

Cheers

Yes, but he would have used his Mont Blanc pen!

If I get a miserable one who tells me I need to fill out a form myself, I refuse and make them help me. There is often vocabulary that I'm not familiar with. I have to explain I might be able to speak quickly and fluently in Spanish but I don't read or write it anywhere near as well.

Having said that, many will gladly help you through the process.

200 K. Thats short for 200,000. Where did you buy it from? The moon. Unless you meant 200 kms.
