I have a 1988 Mercedes that has been spanish registered since new in Malaga province.
I understand there is a classic matriculation for cars over 25 years old that can provide less frequent itv and cheaper tax.
I cant find any information on the benefits or how you going about registering your car as classic although there is a rumour that the car needs to be inspected. I can understand this for a new import but an existing locally registered car?
Can anyone help?

Re: Classic status
They will want to inspect the car to make sure it exists. I am not saying this is your intention but people have been known to insure classic cars and then make a huge insurance claim stating there car was fully restored and then stolen.
