Does anyone know if the car insurers provide details of customers to Police?
I am curious as we were chatting about this over a beer.
Also answers for UK and Spain welcome.
Many thanks

The Guardia have access to the insurance database from their mobile terminals. That's why you no longer need to carry your insurance details with you.

Probably a good idea to carry your insurance docs anyway - just in case there is a problem with the database
