Blue number plates

Postby costakid » Wed Dec 19, 2018 9:47 pm

I have noticed more and more taxis in malaga city displaying a blue rear number plate. Anyone know why? It is not because they are hybrid or electric because a Seat Cdi was displaying a blue rear number plate today.

Started back in August, it's to identify authorised taxis and shuttle services, about 50% of our local taxis have been adorned with blue plates so far.

In Gran Canaria blue plates are issued to Government or local authority courtesy cars, ie for ferrying officials around, I haven't (yet) seen them on any other type of vehicle.
