Exporting a Spanish reg car to the UK.

There are many posts on this forum about importing a UK car to Spain.

Has anyone done it the other way round and taken a Spanish reg car to the UK and put it on UK plates.

The car in question was originally UK registered and the owner now wishes to take it back to the UK for his son to use permanently in the UK.

Does anyone know what processes are involved and what paperwork is required - at both ends?
