Calahonda Thugs

Postby Paula on Sat Nov 07, 2009 5:56 pm

On Thursday evening I was walking a dog for a housebound lady in Calahonda. As I was walking by some wasteland I noticed some young lads throwing rocks, couldn't really see initially exactly what they were aiming at. Just as I was about past I thought I could hear wimpering so stopped and called out to them what were they doing. I started walking across to where they were, to have a big rock thrown at me before they scarpered, turned my face and got hit in the ear. Surprised it didn't bloody knock me out.
The wimpering was from a poor little dog, who was the victim of the evil little wotsits throwing rocks at her. She has lots of cuts and bruising, a head injury and quite a bad eye injury aswell as being deeply shocked. Thankfully no broken bones. I have a suspected perforated eardrum, which is flippin painful.

What is it coming to that young boys, barely teenagers could want to do such a thing? I'm so outraged and though I am sure I would recognise them as a group, I'm unable to give any significant description of them individually to the police as it was getting dark and I didn't get very close up to them.

The positive outcome is that one of the older people I visit has a sister in Denia who is going to adopt the little dog who isn't microchipped and is quite thin and scruffy, so we assume a stray.

(Also looking for beefy volunteer males willing to form a posse and make a visit to some wasteground in Calahonda  )

I don´t suppose that the poor dog gave a damn what nationality the thugs were.

Sadly it isn't a new thing. Many years ago there were reports that youths were using catapults to target cats, aiming for their eyes. Unfortunately I suspect such cruelty happens in UK and elsewhere as well.

Of course it happens in the UK there are low life in any country. Usually in the UK there is a friendly copper to take a complaint. Recently there doesn't seem to be a single thread on this forum where the UK isn't introduced into the thread

1st poster "It's cold and windy in marbella today"
2nd poster "Even colder in Glasgow, minus 24 last night"

Can't any of you be content in Spain without needing to slag off the UK. This is

It's part of ADC's T&C's Katy.
I. Any criticism of Spain, however trivial, must be defended by trying to rubbish UK! ;-)

A lot of ADC members are resident in UK and those resident in Spain mostly came from UK. Comparisons are inevitable.

As for my post, I said "UK and elsewhere", purely to point out that it isn't a problem specific to Spain.

I NEVER start the UK post, just guilty of trying to balance out the myths for those who rarely visit the UK but know all from the Daily Fail

I am just waiting for Paula to come along and tell us that the culprits were some Brit yobbos and we can all sigh with relief that it wasn't some spanish brats, cos we all know the spanish are near perfect and we don't want spoiler stories do we...another glass of plonk anyone 8)

The ones I heard speak did so with a British accent. There we go, that should give cause for a two day debate and stretch it to at least a 2 page thread
Julian, absolutely correct, I don't believe the dog gave a **** what nationality they were or whether they had just stepped off the starship enterprise.

What nationality was the dog? This could very well be a racist attack.

Oh, thank goodness for that! That's to be expected. I found it hard to believe they could be Spanish, they know how to treat animals.

What on earth has the nationality of the thug-children got to do with it, a thug and a bully is just that, no matter what race or ethnic group they are, I hope you found a posse Paula and they got what for...........

Hope also your ear is feeling better, sore ear and wind do not go well together..... :(
