feeding the birds

Just wondered if anyone feeds the birds here in spain?

I brought back from UK a bird feeder and spent around half an hour,crushing the monkey nut shells getting all the peanuts out.I have never seen any wild bird food here in spain(only in morrisons)
The house next door is empty and has weeds that must be 10ft high.i see all types of birds next door including Robins and wrens.
