We are bringing our dog to Spain for a few weeks and I am thinking of using Stronghold and a Scalibor collar after reading another thread on here.
I am worrying a bit about getting the dog back into the UK and wondering what others have done. I am booked on a eurostar crossing and need to find a vet withing the 24/48hr margin for the flea and tick treatment to get him back to the UK. Is there a list somewhere of vets who do this sort of thing and how much is it going to cost.
Thanks.

Ask a spanish vet to stamp a day forward. I have seen a list of French vets near the port but cannot remember which site

I'll go along with Katy's advice.
Our Spanish vet asks us what day do we want stamped on the passport.
Cheers

There is no risk to your dog in doing this, its just that spanish vets live in the real world and state very clearly there is no rabies in Spain!

Hi,
Some vet info at ports...........
http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/pet-f ... ct-details
You may need to Google for your port or look at ferry operators sites that cover your port.

Is it anything to do with rabies?Jool wrote:There is no risk to your dog in doing this, its just that spanish vets live in the real world and state very clearly there is no rabies in Spain!
The UK requirement is that the dog is checked to see if it is healthy and has a tick and flea treatment not less than 24 hours and not more than 48 hours before boarding the ferry.
