I always thought micro pigs were the small-minded despots in the Junta de Andalucía.

Is there a purpose to owning one, other than as a "fashion accessory" ??

the point to owning one is that they make very good pets, they are clean, easily house trained, are great for people with allergies as they are covered in hair not fur, they are cheap to keep and a very sociable animal.

I asked about breeders in spain just out of curiosity.

They are not a fashion accessory as you certainly can't put them in your hand bag when you go out, there are restrictions on where you can take them, u have to apply for a walking licence if you want to take them out. There is a movement licence that you have to complete if moving from one place to another with a stand period of 21 days

I wonder what problems might be further down the line with micro-pigs. After all, they were developed by breeding the runts of litters so don't come from a healthy start.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!
