Getting 5 cats back to UK
My lovely elderly clients have decided to go back to UK in October. They asked me today if i knew of the best way of getting their 5 puddy cats back home. She has looked into courier at a cost of 350 euros per cat She then talked about sedation.
Does anyone know of a resonably cheap and decent way of getting all the cats back to UK.
Obviously they have until October to get sorted.I think the cats have had the relavent tests needed to get them back. They now need to sort out the best way to travel home for the cats.
What services have you used and how did the cats cope?

Our cats have flown twice. Last time with Monarch. I am not very keen but at least it is so much shorter than the road journey. They were fine and one of my cats was 17 last time she flew. Costly though, about £850 for the two

Oh crikey!!
Thats a lot,she has five of them
I think it would be cheaper for them to hire a man with a van, someone who can drive them back for a fee.

Hi PP,
Any chance you could PM me the contact for the cat carrier, I'm currently trying to ship my best friend's small dog back to UK, and the best price I've got is 460€.

Re: Getting 5 cats back to UK
We brought our 2 cats over to the CDS overland using a company called EasyPet. It cost us £240 per cat, as they were able to put them together in the same crate, and they may offer a deal for 5 cats?? It is a long trip, but I have to say our cats seemed none the worse for wear and well looked after from pick up to drop off.

We brought our Pug over with easypet and they were excellent. Cost £395 and collected and delivered door to door. They even looked after him at no charge for a few days as they got back before us.
They are really good with the animals.

one of my cats once flew for free..but only when it decided to slip of the balcony on the 5th floor..landed on the roof of a car and was fine ,the cat that is....., the car had a dent in the roof I wonder if the owner ever worked out how he got a dent on the roof of his car

Re: Getting 5 cats back to UK
Wouldn't it be cheaper to drown*the cats and buy new ones in the UK?
* ... or failing that - give them away to a good home.
... or even better ... Flybe.com says

Hola
Ask for a quotation from pet taxi transport.
Please mention that Animals In Distress (A.I.D.) gave you their email address.
It might help with the price?

Spanish Lad,are you serious???
Im sure they would rather someone drove there, that they could trust.
I know you like pussies.. so that would help.
They are talking about going back in September,so if you are really serious about this please get in touch again.I know they would pay you well.

apparently posh pets charge 350€ for a small dog back to the uk. im not sure if thats plus extras or anything, but i can imagine it wont be cheap to take 5 cats
