shar pei puppies
Re: shar pei puppies
I would urge anyone here who can give a dog a good home to get one from an animal rescue centre and not encourage people to breed pedigree dogs

Thanks
Thanks
Re: shar pei puppies
Although I agree with most posters, I would have to say that since the pups are here the post seems OK - unless of course the pups are for sale. I would then say a resounding "no."

Good point Mowser.
Perhaps the OP would tell us whether they are for sale or not.

Re: shar pei puppies
i think the reason for the pedigree breeding is we all like to be walking with a good looking b***h??
Re: shar pei puppies
Champion pedigree bloodline, says it all doesn't it. No difference than someone putting a post on selling their car....it's advertising spam Pedigree dog breeders are in it for the dosh!
Re: shar pei puppies
"Champion pedigree bloodline" = Deliberately inbred with all the pshycological and physical problems that go with it
There are 10s of thousands of dogs here that need a good home without someone adding to them for financial gain.

OK I have deleted the original post.
Please feel free to keep discussing the ethics of dog breeding for profit.
Personally I think it should be banned!

Re: shar pei puppies
I reckon that the breeding of children by people not financially sound, in a solid two-person different genders relationship and of normal IQ should be banned but it ain't gonna happen!

Peter,
Presumably you want blond hair & blue eyes too?
Hitler tried that but fortunately it wasn't very popular

I think Peter's point was the "financially sound" part. Nothing to do with blond hair etc...

Re: shar pei puppies
Hi Guys,
Noticed some hostility here regards to pedigree!
I am the first person to post and re-post on helping stray dogs in Spain and constantly try to find forever homes for dogs in the Cadiz area!
I myself have 2 rescue dogs along with a pedigree.
Fortunately or unfortunately there are people out there that want a particular breed, now this could be a vanity thing or it could be because generally each breed has a set of known temperaments which is why the person specifically chose that breed to begin with.
When asked to ask around by a friend, naturally i would as i often do... regardless if one should come from a rescue or be a pedigree pup.
Remember people have there reasons for wanting such a dog but at the end of the day it is their choice.
unfortunately some people do no have the time or want to take the time with a rescue dog due to having previous owners or whatever the circumstance. Obviously forgetting how much work is involved with puppies, again that is their choice.
Everybody here has their right to an opinion but must have in mind that not everyone thinks alike.
As the deed has already been done, the puppies are here and looking for homes, again i am not selling. i have just posted as requested by a friend and will give the contact name and number to a pm message.
I hope this clears the matter up on my part

Re: shar pei puppies
I agree it is a fait accompli but by helping your friend sell these puppies easily you will only encourage her to produce more. If she ended up having to give the dogs away she will stop and maybe even get the dog sterilized. As the deed has already been done, the puppies are here and looking for homes, again i am not selling. i have just posted as requested by a friend and will give the contact name and number to a pm message
I think most people now understand that a dog is not just for Christmas. Some are now just beginning to realize that inbreeding dogs is not right either.Fortunately or unfortunately there are people out there that want a particular breed, now this could be a vanity thing
At least docking dogs tails has now been outlawed.

Correct. With careful carving it can last well into the new year.I think most people now understand that a dog is not just for Christmas.

Re: shar pei puppies
Hi Ann
The owners intentions from the beginning was to have one litter and sterilized after nursing, that is still the plan.
The reason he wanted to breed was so he had and another family member could keep two female pups, the intention was far from making a profit, more about having one from his own litter.
