Rescued bat - what next?
I have just rescued a bat from our pool - it had been in there a while as I thought it was a leaf yesterday, stuck at the side of a skimmer port. I now know I shouldn't have touched it but having done so, and put it on a cat-free low roof in the sun to dry out, is there anything else I could/should do?

I found one in the skimmer a couple of years ago,I put it on a shelf in the garage and 2 hours later it had gone. Wouldn't think it will appreciate being out in the sun too long Peter.

Just been out to check on it - the sun-drying must have done the trick (unless a bird has got it!) as of it there is no sign lol.

You're lucky Peter.
If you had been in the UK they would have declared your house an official bat sanctuary and you would had to live in your shed!

A few months ago we had just climbed into bed when something started flying round the bedroom. I thought it was a bird at first, but it was a bat. OH managed to catch it and we put it in the stable on the land. It was gone the next day so must have been ok,
