I am a bit confused as to how TRACES got involved. When someone eg. comes through the Tunnel with dog (s) they are cleared on the French side and are driven off onto unknown destinations in the UK. How would DEFRA get involved at a later date. Am I missing something?

When Animal rescue send a dog back to UK they have to use TRACES as it is changing ownership.

The regular pet owner will have a Pets Passport and just get checked at port of embarkation.

We might be fostering another dog from a killing pound in Cordoba, it will be interesting what injection they give her on being let out!
