Hi everyone I need advice about the certificado de antecedentes penales. My application from several months ago seems to have got lost in the system as I have heard nothing grrrr.
I no longer live in Andalucia (now in the UK) but would return in Jan to get this certificate in person if I have to.
So here are my questions
(1) What is or who is the best person to chase up to find where it got to?
Ministerio De Justicia in Madrid? British Embassy in Madrid? British Consulate in Sevilla?
(2) If it has officially gone AWOL what is the quickest route (timescale etc..) to get it?
I hear that the British embassy should then contact the Spanish Ministry of Justice if that country has a reciprocal agreement with Spain for police certification.
but in reality what do people do here? What methods worked for you
cheers
Andy

Re: getting a certificado de antecedentes penales
I got one with the help of our local solicitor. We downloaded the forms off the internet, filled them in.paid taxes at bank(3.47 if remember right) then sent it off to Granada certificado. Took about 4 weeks then I got the cetificate in the post.
Maybe you should just start all over if it's gone missing. You could contact the nearest Ministerio dr Justica also.
