Hi
If you import it within 3/60 days of formally declaring you have abandoned your country of origen then you do not have to pay import duty. The British Consulate can help with this very important piece of paper (Baja de Residencia).
You will need an NIE & Volante de empadronamiento plus the new green "Nie" form.
Then get the motorhome ITV'd.
Next stop is the Hacienda with Form 06 (this is where the 30 days clock stops ticking)!
Now pay the road tax and go to Trafico with all the papers and you passport. All originals will need at least one photocopy.

Re: motor home
Not questioning the validity of the mention of not being able to register a RHD motorhome in Spain (it's well documented that RHD panel vans cannot after all) but there are many LHD motorhomes registered in the UK - so why not vice versa? One rule for all of Europe, or not?
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often
