Gun - licence? Age limit?

Is there an upper age limit to owning a gun in Spain?
How often is your gun licence renewed and can anyone ask to see the licence or only the police?
Do you need a licence for every kind of gun?
Can you fire a gun in your garden or only outside in countryside?
If you have no gates only a chain or rope across can anyone enter your land?

Not teaching you to suck eggs ,but as a registered firearms dealer in the Uk i would urge you and yours to have proper safety training before buying.
not saying you haven't done so..just advising in case you haven't.
i've seen too many near accidents from the inexperienced to keep quiet about it.

I am actually asking because an elderly local who now peers through glasses has a gun and I am not sure he should have! Wow assumptions rule ok!!!!!

Don't know if there's an upper age limit, but the doctor who did our driving license medicals also does them for firearm certificates, so presuming you have to be medically fit to hold one. (Not sure if they include being psychologically stable - my spanish neighbour obviously wasn't when he took pot shots at his wife and chilkdren, before holding the gun to his mothers head (Oh that was aftrer he'd shot all the ornamental birds in his garden!!!!!)
