increasing house size

Postby mijas bound » Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:51 pm

What is the procedure if i increase the size of my Spanish house??

I am thinking about adding another floor (next door is 3 story so i assume it would be acceptable)
would adding a roof terrace change the "size" of the house or is that just seen as being part of the outside/roof area??
i look forward to hearing form you

FROM DAVID SEARL

FOR MIJAS BOUND

If you wish to add a storey to your house, go to your Town Hall with your architect's plans and request a building permit.

If you have a tiled roof and you change it to a flat roof terrace, you have increased the useable space of your property and this should be registered as such.

Good luck with it, David Searl

Yhanks for the reply David, but does that mean that i don't need permission to turn a tiled roof into a roof terrace????
