Summer fire ban
Summer fire ban
Can anyone enlighten me on the rules for fires in the campo? My neighbour has always told me that all fires, including BBQ's are banned in the campo from July to September but I can't find any information about this anywhere. We have a purpose built BBQ with a chimney which I have never used (can't stand the burnt burgers) but some of our family are coming over this summer and want to cremate their food for some reason. Thanks for any advice.

Hi baynigg,
Best to check your situation out with your local Town Hall.
From a post by Lavanda...........
"Here we get a weekly license from mid October to mid May. One copy for the Ayuntamiento, one for the Cuartel and one for us. No one can burn anything in the summer. Barbecue areas need a license in themselves with so many sq. m. of tiled or concreted flooring round the barbie"
Up this way the window is May - October.........no fires...

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Re: Summer fire ban
Depends on the Town Hall.
We can burn any time from November to April and with a permit valid for the whole summer from 1st May to 31st October.
