2 Tier Self Employment

Postby Unicorn » Fri Jun 05, 2015 4:11 pm

Someone mentioned to me the other day that she pays lower autonomo because she is registered as working only 16 hours a week. She has regular market stalls.

Does anyone know about this? I think she said she pays 160 euros a month but she does not qualify for a pension. As I will get my UK pension I am not bothered about that.

Cheers

Yes I think it would be "venta ambulante" ( itinerant trader ) & that is the standard rate for them .
Never heard that they aren't entitled to a pension ? Agricultural workers also have a lower rate & women cleaners have an exceptionally low rate .

So does this mean that light has dawned and it is finally possible to register as autonomo on 16 hours or less per week? Or are these simple exceptions? I need to work but am not well enough to work full time

There is a new offer that if you have not been self employed for the last 5 years and you sign on to be so you get an 80% reduction in ss payments for quite a while gong up gradually. I think the reductions last for 18 months or so. My accountant told me but check it out, of course!

I paid around 50€ for 6 months, about 130€ for the next 6 months, 183€ for the next 6 months & now I have to pay full rate of 265€!
