Tax declaration in Spain
Tax declaration in Spain
I am looking for information regarding tax declaration in Spain, we pay our Spanish tax every year and also declare the pension which is put into our English account. When the tax man sorts out the tax that we have to pay, he exchanges our English pension into euros, as if it was paid into our Spanish account, and we have to pay tax on that (in euros) as well. As we moving back to England can we claim back any tax from the Spanish tax office for our English pension that is put into our English account?

Re: Tax declaration in Spain
If you have stayed in Spain over 183 days when you go back, you will be regarded as tax resident for Spanish tax till December 31st, plus you will be liable for UK tax the minute you set foot in the UK.
When you make your tax return to Spain the following year, any UK tax you've paid will be deducted.
I don't think you will be getting any tax back from Spain unless you've overpaid there.
