Selling up and non-residence tax

Postby Bugsbunny » Sun Apr 03, 2016 7:15 pm

Hola everyone - I hope you can help me please.

I inherited property in Spain in 2009 and have now managed to get a buyer but I wondered if someone could tell me exactly what the 3% non residence tax is that I'm having to pay? I live in the UK.

I have looked into whether I will need to pay Capital Gains Tax in the UK and I'm pretty sure I won't need to pay anything as it will be within my £11,100 a year (I think) allowance.

Thanks in advance,
Bugs

Hi Bugsbunny,
A quick search on The New Shiny Forum threw up this................From our Beachcomber...........

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=27591

Even quicker would be look in FAQ's...................still the Search works OK......... :D
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
