Form 210

Postby Falkirkgal » Sun Jul 24, 2016 4:41 pm

Thanks to all the information in this site I have been able to print off my form 210 and my husbands. I know I have to sign the form but can anyone tell me if I need to take anything extra to the bank when I go to pay it?

Hi amarillabay,
From The FAQ.............

19,5% for 2015 filling Form in this year 2016

2%

Taken from this...................Ref: Beachcomber

"The multiplier to obtain the taxable base is only 1,1% 1f the municipality in which the property is located has revised its valores catastrales within the ten years prior to the fiscal year being declared otherwise it is 2%. Previously the cut-off date was 1994.

I can assure you with absolute certainty that the information given in my FAQ is correct. This is the official AEAT instructions for completing the form 210. The criterion for determining the percentage of the valor catastral is shown on page 5 of this document:

Instructions in Spanish

The relevant section states:

Devengos desde el 1 de enero de 2015

Inmuebles cuyo valor catastral haya sido revisado o modificado y haya entrado en vigor en el período impositivo o en el
plazo de los diez períodos impositivos anteriores ........................................................................................... 1,1%

Restantes inmuebles........................................................................................................................................ 2%

And in English:

Accruals from 1 January 2015

• Buildings whose rateable value has been reviewed or changed and has come into effect within the tax period or the
within the ten previous tax periods .................................................................................................................1.1%

• Other buildings..................................................................................................................................................2%

The confusion over the applicable income tax rate stems from the fact that the rate was reduced from 20% to 19,5% midway through the fiscal year of 2015. The rate to be used is 19,5% because this was the prevailing rate on 31st December 2015 which is the fecha de devengo (the date that the tax becomes due).

If you read or are told anything different to this it is utterly and completely wrong.
Let's go Brandon!
