Sorry i can't help Hirsty, we had ours made and they also fitted them, i was quite surprised at the cost, it wasn't half as much as i had envisaged.

That's probably the way to do it. Plenty of 'carpintera metalica' around, who will make to your design and exactly the correct size. Worth doing a sketch, and asking a price.

The price for things like this seemed to depend on whether the customer spoke Spanish or not.

That seems a bit cheap!! We're in Canarias and have spent 3 months trying to find a company capable of making a gate. Loads of carpenterias metalicas around but most haven't got a clue about design nor engineering.

Price for 4m * 2m swing gates in various metals, with various "oven" treatments, etc. - 2750e - 3000e is the going rate. That's 350e per m2.

OH is Spanish so language no problem and they're all quoting similar prices anyway. Binned our own designs as they can't cope with anything outside the box. Choosing from their own books seems the only option.

In Nerja, getting gates made is a pushover. Maybe a dozen small carp.met. just on one small scruffy industrial estate (Castillo Alto). I construct my own, but obviously that's not for everyone.

Sorry Hirsty, no idea on the price of the gate you require, that's because we had a whole lot of iron work done but considering what we paid i thought your gate would be reasonably priced.
