Attending Court Loja, Granada
I will be attending Court in July as part of the prosecution process following a Burglary in my house, where I was the victim and the offender arrested. I've completed formalities at the police station in Loja and now have a Court date. Whilst I speak some Spanish I'm not confident it will be of a sufficient standard so I will need a Translator. I'm wondering if the Court will provide one or should I make my own arrangements. Has anyone had any experience of the Spanish Court system?

James,
Most courts do know have translator facilities available, but I would suggest that you contact them direct to confirm or request the facility.

Gordon

I was in the same situation as you.
I had to attend the court in Malaga.
The court provided an interpreter for me.
Cheers

Happened to my wife...Guardia suggested WE approach the (Ronda first, then Malaga) court to ask for an interpreter.......using the reference on the letter summoning her as a witness, a local Spanish friend phoned the court and asked on our behalf. Job done.........
(Interestingly, or so I thought, the Malaga interpreter was a young Polish chap who, of course, spoke perfect Spanish, English and, no doubt, Polish!)

Thank you, I'll have a go and call the Court next week.
EDIT: Just posting an update in case it's useful to anyone else. As with Gerry's experience a quick call to the Court and advised a Translator will be provided on the day.
