No not you Beni, the place.
Culled from yesterday's Guardian.
Pedro Zaragoza Orts the former mayor of Benidorm died on Tuesday aged 85.
He was mayor from 1950 to 1967 and was responsible for turning Benidorm from a small fishing village to the 'Manhattan' of Spain, convincing Franco that the tourist income generated by development there was worth the moral outrage of the Catholic Church at the skimpily clad northern Europeans going the colour of broiled lobster on the beaches.
Benidorm apparently now has 70 British pubs and 10 fish and chip shops.
Hmmm.
The Man who built Benidorm

Grouser
Phew...Grouser..
You had me worried there for a minute, I thought you were going to say that you had found out that I was the original test tube baby, or that I had been constructed out of body parts.....
Shame to see that old Senor Orts has passed on, he was a man of vision, and also made a few bob, out of it. I did meet him a couple of times and he was a really nice old guy....First time I met him was when I was metal detecting on the beach, he was just showing interest....
