Tankers/Ships off the Mijas Costa Coast

Does anyone know why there are at least 7 tankers/ships close to the coast around the Fuengirola/Calahonda area????? Some have now been there for over a week :?

they are normally just off the coast east of malaga. nothing to worry about.

Its the same here in Ireland. There is not enough work for the freighters so to save mooring fee's they anchor offshore while waiting for employment.

Perhaps they are ex tankers, converted to budget cruise ships bringing in the tourist to Fuengirola and Torremolinos! :D
