Hey Guys n Girls~ Long time no see
I have a question i need some help with if u can.
I have been sent a wireless router from ONO all is great ~its downstairs with the pc.Now the Q i wanted to ask was,my son wants to use his ps3 online upstairs, when the ps3 is downstairs in the same room as the router his signal is 100% when its took upstairs the signal strength goes down to 25/30% which isnt enough to get him online. Is there anything i can do/buy to boost the signal strength to get him and his ps3 upstairs
Also my router doesnt have any security on it either, can anyone give me any advice on how to do this please (dumb n blonde,so nothing techie plz).
Thankyou,PP

Re: wireless router and loss of signal :/
Have you tried moving the router or the router antennae and monitoring the signal upstairs?
I think by security you mean stopping others accessing your wi-fi router and hacking in? You can set your router up on the computer so that it is only usable in the house or within a certain distance range on the installation menu. All other security and protection comes from whatever you install on your computer.
I hope this helps a bit, sorry I am not a techie either!

Hi PP,
Going along with Jool, you will need to move the wireless router around and check out any improvement on the signal upstairs.
Having the router positioned high up in the room might help, if the router has a long cable try across the other side of the room.
Is the PC connected directly to the new router , or wireless
To secure the router you will need to access it, hence I need the make and model ( from the underside of the unit).
The playstation, does it look like this................
