Water well
Hello everyone and grateful to finally post my query and ask members who may have experience in water wells for help.
We are currently having our reform done near Iznajar and would like to know on average how much the cost would be for a well to be dug per metre? We recently had a quote which seemed ridiculous i.e we think they are trying it on as we are foreigners . We understand that there are many locals having wells done due to the water problem so there is high demand but the quote requires they dig 100 metres down which seems funny considering the 'source' (pointed by a diviner) is at most only 200 metres from the lake.
We just wanted to verify if anyone has had any experience in this and roughly how much per metre it cost them?
Thanks so much in advance

One of our neighbours had a well dug about 12 months ago - using the BIG borer. It's 160m down, and including the pump and a 1000 litre tank, she paid 6000 euros

thanks everyone for their quick replies! The quote for a borer (including licence) does not seem as ridiculous as originally thought , similar to the neighbour's well 12 months ago by not including the pump or tank which was extra. We feel much more relieved now in moving forward.

We didn´t have any dowsing done. We just relyed on the fact that a neighbour 500m away had one done and hit water and a neighbour on the other side also put in a bore last year and hit water. We took readings with a sat nav of the distance above sea water of the depth of their wells and roughly calculated at what point we should find water. We were two metres out!!!
Though also I think we were lucky. Cos there´s always a story of a neighbour finding water and 50m away there being none!
Out of interest I saw an advert the other day for "Perforaciones dirigidos"
Bore holes that go at an angle towards a known water source (eg a lake)
