Re: New Bathroom
I cannot tell you a price but when i did my project the builder used red non slip mosiac small tiles instead of a shower tray and it worked out really well. I think they were about €40 m2, the advantage is you can make the shower tray any size you like, it was his idea and i did not expect out as well as it did.
Hope this helps

Cadena Nostalgia (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s music station based in Málaga) was running an ad this morning for a firm offering various building projects, one of which was a new bathroom for 3,500€ - if that helps!

thanks!!
We cant get that station but at least its a good guide!!!
its very confusring as you can get a shower, sink toiet from Leroy Meriln for a certain price ad the tiles and sundries and then add €3000 and this is what a local builder is asking.
How much "mano de obra" are they charging. i should of become a builder at €80 per hour!!!

Re: New Bathroom
I bought all the stuff myself and builder fitted it, 100 euro a day for him and 60 for the labourer, it took them days and its 3 and a half days and its a big bathroom. taking up and off the old tiles was the biggest part of the job.

"thanks Julie what did you get and how much???"
Reminds me of the joke about the man who was going to paper his lounge. He ran into his neighbour who had recently wallpapered his own lounge which was the same size and he asked him how many rolls of wallpaper he had bought. "Eleven" said the neighbour. So he bought eleven rolls of wallpaper and did the job.
A little while later he ran into the neighbour who asked him how he got on. Fine said the man, except for one thing. I had four rolls of wallpaper left over. Now that is strange said the neighbour, "so had I "

Re: New Bathroom
I dont think its unreasonable to ask what work was carried out, what was bought and how much it cost.
ive got some quotes in and they vary by as much as €1,600.
for example the purchase and installation of an interior door is being charged at €750. now assuming its a leroy merlin door at say €200 and it takes two men 2 hours to do, then I feel like someone is taking the "authur bliss".

Re: New Bathroom
750€ for the purchase and fitting of one internal door seems very expensive indeed to me - we bought 4 from a local carpentry firm (one of the most expensive types he had available) and had the old doors plus frames removed and the new ones fitted for a total of 1,400€.
Re: New Bathroom
The one thing you haven't stated is how big is the bathroom,a 2m x 2m room will be cheaper than a 3m x 3m room.
Re: New Bathroom
its about 2m x 3m very small.quebin wrote:The one thing you haven't stated is how big is the bathroom,a 2m x 2m room will be cheaper than a 3m x 3m room.
Re: New Bathroom
Local carpenter here charges €250 to supply and fit a wooden interior door. He also supplies and fits kitchens at a reasonable price. He doesn't do bathrooms though.

Re: New Bathroom
I have a bath toilet, bidet and shower, to be honest I don't know the exact cost of those items as I also bought the same for the other bathroom and whole lot of tiles, the floor has 11 tiles running one way and 10 the other way, its a decent size bathroom. I always get a price for the work done and buy the gear needed myself, I think you can save that way.
