Booking ITV online

Postby malagaman2005 » Wed Jan 04, 2012 12:36 pm

Has anyone on here ever actually booked online? I can't even get passed the 1st page as it says the date of matriculation is not correct even though its entered as per instructions.

Yes, I book mine online. Keep refreshing the page until you get the option to enter the 'numero bastidor' and enter the last six digits. This may or may not work. The was a discussion about this a few weeks ago:

I also book mine online. From memory, the input of the matricula is not necessarily straight forward as the software doesn't seem to be intuitive.

The placing of spaces seems to be important. I've just copied this from their web site:

Introduzca la matrícula de su vehículo, sin usar espacios ni guiones. Únicamente emplee espacios en las antiguas matrículas provinciales de una sola letra para separar los números de la sigla provincial.
Ejemplos:
H 0000P
GR0000KF
0000MNL
nil illegitimum carborundum

Did you put in the correct date of matriculation.
There is more than one date on my document.
When I followed their example in the link it worked OK.

I always have to use the chassis number option. The date of first registration doesn't work for any of my vehicles. The notification from DGT now shows the information needed to make the booking online.

You must not leave any gaps between letters and figures in the registration number unless the vehicle has an old style registration with one provincial letter (M - Madrid, B - Barcelona, etc) in which case you leave a space after the first letter.

I've booked on-line for 3 different vehicles - never had any problem.

Thanks guys for the input. I have now got passed the 1st page but the problems still occur. My vehicle is registered as mixto adaptable and when I choose that from the drop down menu (shown as adaptive crossover) it gives me the choice of type of trailer which of course I don't have and I can't leave blank as I have to choose, any suggestions?

Hi malagaman2005,

"mixto adaptable"............had the same problem so booked in as Turisimo

Interesting on previous bookings(had three last year with same vehicle) it showed up correctly.

Really only interesting in getting a time/date booking, they use the Green Book when you get there to get you on the system.

Once you have chosen 'No' under 'Turismo' the next option is to choose the weight and number of axles of the vehicle from the drop-down menu under 'Vehiculo'. For a small van the option to select would be 'Furgoneta de 2 ejes y MMA<3500 kg'. The one after that is to enter whether the vehicle is diesel or petrol, ignore the remolque question and click on 'Enviar'.

Did exactly as you suggested Beach and the usual came up
'Se ha producido un error en la aplicación. Inténtelo de nuevo y si el error persiste comuniquélo al responsable de la aplicación'
So I definitely give up, thanks anyway.

That's the beauty of having an efficient German run ITV system here in Murcia. Turn up, pay , test, out door.

I know this is an oldish thread but thought I would mention that 3 weeks ago I was able to book an ITV for my 4x4 online with no problem. Last two tests I couldn't do it for the same reasons others have mentioned but, for some reason, this year it worked. No problem booking tests for the bike or the other car in the past. Don't know why it should work this year but not previously. Maybe they have updated their software/records? Anyway, just to round things off, it passed.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

It used to work fine for our van but no longer for the past couple of years.
Now, we just call the on site number, ask for Guadalhorce and we make an appointment that way - much faster than 6 failed attempts on the site and all the accompanying frustration.
We tried last week and it still wouldn't play the game with us. as you say, cars OK but not vans, commercial, mixto, etc., - there seems to be a problem.
