AP46
I tried to find this topic which was previously covered, but without the search facility I could not find it.
The purpose of my post is to eat my previous words when I doubted that this road would be open by November as I felt more resources needed to be applied. The project director must have taken my advice on numbers of people needed as the road looks as if it will open before the officially completion date.
I passed the viaduct north of Casabermeja twice last week, two days apart, and in that time I saw marked changes to the progress. I have worked on sites this size before and can go a month and see no differences. The amount of plant and people all working together was staggering!
If they do open next week then my congratulations to the management and workforce for a job well done.

Re: AP46
The ring road is a new road that takes you outside of the dreadful traffic on the existing Malaga Ronda.
They are expecting 60000 cars a day to use it which will improve the traffic flow on the inner ring road and also provide access to the airport from the north.
The AP46 is a new toll road from Malaga to Antequera that duplicates the existing motorway but will reduce the high load on that road especially in summer.

Re: AP46
Actually, the new road only goes as far as just north of Casabermeja - basically it avoids the very bendy road up from Malaga. Once past Casabermeja, the bends reduce and it's just a slog up the hill to Las Pedrizas !!El Cid wrote:....The AP46 is a new toll road from Malaga to Antequera that duplicates the existing motorway but will reduce the high load on that road especially in summer.

Re: AP46
Hi ,
Was on the AP-46 today, well worth the 3.05€ just for the view, was heading for the Airport but lost the plot and came off at the Torremolinos turn (having overshot the airport) and came back to the Airport. Still better than the old route down the A-45.
Parking in P3 Larga Estancia (Long Stay) , will report back on the exact costs next year.
1-10 days 5,10€/day , 11 days onwards 3,80€/day, pre booking is even cheaper..phone 952 04 81 91 or info on site.............

Re: AP46
When we arrived yesterday (eventually, but that's another story ), we used the A45, but didn't actually see any signs for the AP46 ! We weren't looking intently, as we weren't going to use it anyway, but were surprised it wasn't very prominently signed. If we wanted to use it, where does it connect if going from the airport towards Antequera ?

Hi,
Update on long stay P3 parking at Malaga Airport............
27 days came in at 97,40€.....best to pre-book see my post above for site info.
Its a secured covered area and the bus to and from the Departures/Arrivals was really quick.
On arriving back just go to Information desk at arrivals, show ticket and they will phone through, bus comes to general bus stop just out side of arrivals.

Hi SL,
Have you taken a moment to think why they wash your car before collection
Because it has been parked in a dusty field behind some tin shack ...........

They get some dust, but at least they are parked on tarmac and at least 3/4 of the parking spaces are covered.

Hi SL,
There is only one Toll area and that's at the top end not long after you leave the A-45.
There is a Service station about half way down/up.
Get the Grand children to spot the painted Lizards..............
And Great views....................
