"not a full shilling" :? ...what does it mean then? No need to boll0ck posters when they take you at your word in this tale of yours. Thick?, not a full shilling?.......same inuendo in my book, with the latter winning in terms of rudesness. Christ, you now say he was born with brain damage, why not say that upfront instead of calling the poor old guy names.

Oh what a shame! I would just like to say that the only impression I got from oliveview01 about the old guy was that he was a nice chap with a sort of childlike innocence, and he was being taken advantage of.

Well it's useful there is a quote facility...it's all disappeared like a kafka novel. Slagging the poor guy all day and now it's gone left with me saying he is thick

'He isn't the full shilling' to me is like saying 'he isn't the brightest bulb in the box' or 'a sandwich short of a picnic' whereas 'thick' is more insulting somehow. But that's only my interpretation, I certainly didn't get any impression of any slagging off of the unfortunate gentleman going on.

I believe that most insurance policies in Spain cover the car, not the driver. Again, some state a minimum age also.
