That is very kind of you Julie. In fact I have the onset of Parkinsons and my circulation is so bad that I am having to give my car away to my house cleaner, as her van is past its drive by date. I cannot feel the pedals properly and I don't want to end up in a gorge somewhere. Friends and neighbours are so kind and caring and have really taken me under their wing. I am looking forward to my future and will miss these wonderful people when I finally get settled on the coast of Andalucia.

Hi Bluefish! A sad tale indeed and at the wrong time of your life. If, having so many friends where you are - why move? I trust you have friends in Sabbinillas that can look out for you?

Sabinillas is flat, everything I need is all together, bank, supermarket, paper shop, breakfast cafes etc. Estacion is great but I would need a car quite often. And this house, 3 floors, 5 bedrooms is just too big for me. A flat will be fine. Anyway all my friends want me to go as they want to use my future flat as a beach hut

As the song says "and the beat goes on" !! Me, the drum, and Abo Gado the Forgetful, the stick. As I said previously I received the 7 day eviction notice on Monday 04 Jun 12. On the following day Abo Gado demanded to know the day I was vacating or he would immediately start court proceedings. I threw Sunday the 10th at him. 4 Spanish neighbours moved my "stuff" during the week and by Sunday 3pm I was out and in an apartment. All services off, windows closed, blinds down and the house neat and tidy. I texted my abogado of the fact. He immediately texted back that I was to be outside the house at 12 noon Monday, the following day, with my keys and I had to sign "something" ??!!?? So at 11.45am Monday I was waiting and waiting outside the house. 12.45 nada !! Texted my abogado who could not reach Abo Gado the Forgetful. So I went home. It's just like a plot in Coronenders..." and the beat goes on"

I'd be tempted to leave the keys in the front door lock and claim you are just as forgetful as the abogado! Then let them deal with evicting a family of squatters or have the house stripped of everything.

Flippin' good idea - but in Spain?? They have the upper hand! .... and sue the abogado? No chance! Hope Sabinillas will be good for you Bluefish! Parkinsons is a horrible disease.

I'm with Chunky Monkey. Had enough. Keys are now in the letter box, as by holding a set of keys I could be blamed if anything went wrong in the property. My abogado knows of my deed. Let them get on with it

During the last week it was becoming clear that I was to face a claim against me for anything I
removed from the house without a receipt. Look around your own home. How many receipts
do you have for purchases at markets, boot sales or items bought years ago, or even gifts.?? I
only took things that I believed were mine to take. Most without receipts. So I instructed my
Abo the Gado to counter claim if there was a peep from them. My claim was for caring for their
mother as they basically didn't care. €10ph, 24/7, for 2 years....approx €1.2 million plus any
medical expenses caused by my lack of sleep and malnourishment.....appprox €200,000. They
folded their cards. My Abo the Gado told me today that it was all over. There will be no claims
against me and I can now get on with my life without hassle from them. Tomorrow I am
cancelling the direct debit with Endesa. Ayuntamiento DD has been cancelled, passing on to them
the calling card of Abo Gado the Forgetful.....the drinks are on him.

So I moved from house #123 to #124 and like a good expat went to the townhall to
change my Certificado De Empadronamiento Individual from #123 to #124. A 6km
round trip I returned home with an application form for the owners to sign. Duly
signed, I returned to the townhall where jobsworth gave me his hand written letter for
the owners to sign stating that they had given permission for me to stay in #124. Duly
signed I returned to the townhall with said letter. Two days later I proudly possess a
new CDEI for, wait for it !!! #123. Yes #123 !!! The wonders of Andalucia.!!!!

And my S1 fiasco is even better.....but I shall not bore you with it !!

oliveview01. The kids are now receiving unpaid bill letters from Endesa. They also
emailled a friend asking to find a cleaner and someone to rent the house. My friend said
that he/she does not do that kind of work.

alexander 1. I am waiting for an inheritance to arrive in my Spanish bank. Another legal
fiasco which I shall not bore you with !!! But I still hope to move to Sabinillas. I don't mind
waiting as the exchange rate, 1.27 today, is becoming very favourable to UK pensioners
here in Spain.

My S1 arrived with my OAP pension details in December 2011. Not having a computer
then and missing out on the "wisdom" and "expertise" ( OMG ) of the members of
Andalucia.com, I went to reception of the medical centre in the big city of Cortes de la
Frontera to ask where I should go to process my S1. Reception was a room full of 30
"Andaluth" women all talking and no-one listening, with one receptionist. I eventually found
who was last to arrive before me and waited. The pretty receptionist with big....heart... told
me that she could initiate the process there and then. Took photocopies of all my docs and
S1, gave me a stamped form in lieu of my forthcoming Spanish Health Card. Five months
later, no health card. So I returned to reception and went through the same agonising wait.
The pretty receptionist with the big....heart....could not find me on the computer. So, she
photocopied all my docs and S1 and gave me another stamped form. Then I had to go to
the doctor in Estacion Cortes de la Frontera for the first time. The doctor comes twice a
week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Mondays and Wednesdays at 12 noon one has to go
to the Estacion town hall to get a numbered ticket for the following day. So with ticket #8 I
saw the doctor who could not find me on his computer. He eventually found me saying
something was wrong, then initiated the process for me to see a specialist. This week I
received two letters from Benaojan medical centre ( where the doctor comes from ). Let
us assume that my name is Adam Baker Charlie Duck. The first letter contained a
warning that I would receive a communication from Ronda hospital and the name on the
letter was to Duck Adam Baker Charlie. The second letter addressed to Adam Baker
Charlie *beep* asked me to go to Benaojan medical center with my passport and European
Health Card ( never ever had one ) within 7 days or I will have to pay for treatment. I
contacted an Andalucia.com friend who had been through the correct process, who took
me by the hand, bypassing Benaojan and took me to Ronda Social Services. Scattering
all my docs over his desk and throwing his hands in the air and shaking his head, the receptionist man reinitiated the process. Photocopied all my docs. Neither of us could understand what he was saying but we think that it all goes to Malaga and I will be arrested
in 20 days or I should receive a communication in 20 days. I just love Andalucia xx
