residencia requirements

Postby asiwalkedout » Mon Oct 15, 2012 4:35 pm

Hi, I'm asking on behalf of my daughter who works in Gibraltar but lives in Spain, in Alcaidesa. What are the current residencia requirements and what forms does she need to complete? Any info appreciated. Thanks

If you wish to stay in Spain for more than 90 days you are now obliged to register with the police and have your details entered on the central database of foreigners.

That used to be a formality and all that was required was a completed application form and your passport. This has now changed and they require proof that you have adequate health cover and sufficient financial means to support yourself.

There is information, in some detail, on the UK Embassy website.

The application form can be downloaded here http://goo.gl/XGu3p
