As a dog lover I make no excuses for posting this video even though it happened in Italy:

Well I like dogs, and that's a lovely story :-)

Saw that on the bbc. Nice to see abit of good news. Theres was another one of a dog pawing at his owners coffin during the funeral service they had for all the victims.

I saw that when it first came out. Wonderful, thank god that dog was rescued and hopefully many more besides as well as people; dogs, cats. Heartwarming video thank you for posting that Beach.

Through our local rescue group, I have heard that the Italian rescue groups are caring for many pets from the Earthquake zone, some while the families are dislodged or recovering health-wise, but also some that have lost their families and will be up for adoption when all avenues to find their people have been investigated. The rescue groups already do massive work with Italian dogs, Spanish dogs, Romanian and ex-Yugoslavia dogs too! They are a bit over-stretched but still doing their bit ...
